    Another keezer build thread

The plan is to cover with 1/4" oak plywood and trim the edges with 1/2" x 4" oak trim. The lid is made of 1x12 with the left over plywood glued to the face and it will be trimmed out with the same oak. The top will be a 1/2" oak plywood with a golden oak stain and the trim will be slightly...

    Another keezer build thread

Had been trying to convince the SWMBO to let me build one for a few months and kept getting nixed. Then one day showed her some of the nice ones on here and she said if I could do that then it could stay in the house, so here goes. Started with an older Wood 7.0 CF freezer from CL

    Regulator leak.

How long did it take to empty the tank with that leak? I have went through two tanks in the last 5-6 months and can't seem to find the leak anywhere. Have sprayed all the connections on the kegs, no bubbles, now thinking that it has to be in the regulator.

First Biab need a little help

I have done a couple of BIAB batches starting with 7.5 gallons and found out in order to get a final volume of 5.5 I need another 1/2 gallon. Used the calculator mentioned at the beginning of this thread and it worked pretty good, no learning to use Beersmith and it seems to be worth the money.

    Bottle conditioning on HVAC vents

Had to do that with my latest batches, placed them around the vent in a spare bathroom and they carbed up nicely. No explosions so far, I do rotate them around so that all sides get a little bit of the heat at some point.

FOUND SOME DEALS...online, faucets/ kegging etc.

Placed an order for some SS shanks and accessories on Tuesday(2-7) afternoon, received an email about an hour later stating that it had shipped. Arrived on Thursday and everything looks good, will keep them in mind for future orders.

Hopefully I didn't screw things up.

I agree with the others, it should be fine. My first batch did the same thing, fermented like crazy for a day or two then nothing, and it turned out pretty good. Of the 5 batches I've done so far, none have had the airlock bubbling for more than a day or two.

    Show Us Your Label

Didn't know that, that was the name of the kit I got from the LHBS. Looks like I will have to come up with a different name.

my partially done "Red Dawn" keezer

Thanks for the info, have permission from swmbo to put one in the house if I can make it look like yours. Looking at 5cf if the price is right, should be able to get three taps with the right collar.

What size freezer and what is the thickness of the wood if you don't mind? Also, what type of wood did you make the top out of? Thanks Greg

    Christmas Presents!

Only brewing related thing was Palmer's How to Brew, but did get about $300 to put towards the keezer and other goods. All-in-all, not a bad Christmas since I didn't have to work this year. Greg

Kobalt Portable Compressed CO2 Regulator *Lowes*

Just picked one of these up today, $43 for the regulator and tank is not a bad deal in my book. Will have to figure a way to connect it to a corny for pushing cleaner through. Greg
