    cutting top for keggle, $#?&*@@!!!!

When I made my keggle, I just took a string connected to a marker and outlined my circle, then free hand cut it with an angle grinder. I used nothing more than a 4.5 inch grinding disk. Turned out perfect. The trick is to make a shallow pass, then on subsequent passes apply more pressure to cut...

Where to buy solenoids for Brutus ?

I got mine off of eBay. I got mine fairly cheap. Think about $20 each. Mine are rated at 15psi, but I only run at 1/2-1psi. Be sure to reference the ASCO site to see if they are Normally Closed valves, max pressure is within range of your propane/NG pressure. Are you using 110v, or 24v, 12v etc...

    Official Broken Hydrometer Count

Got that right. I've broken two in the past three months (both times washing brew equipment). Unreal how easily they broke. Seems my 3rd one has survived as a result of having a back up.

The stupidest comment on your beer

Sorry, I know its off topic but..... Although I get some inexperienced comments on my beer, nothing compares to the absolute most stupid, and annoying question/comments I get from my friends' airhead blonde wife: "Are you gonna blow anything up?" or "That's not gonna explode is it?" I...

    Do you own a dog?

Done. I wished I had better information available when I made my dogs their own food. In terms of portions. I kept the portions low (what I thought was low), but in the end it wasn't better for them...it just made them more fat.

    My Official Introduction.....

I've been a "lurker" for a little while now on HBT, but never fully introduced myself. I was always on here looking at all the Brutus Ten builds and gathering valuable info for my own build. I cannot thank the "Brutus Creator" and all the "Brutus Ten Cult" members before me enough for all...

    Natural Gas and Propane Hybrid

I was thinking of the same thing for my Brutus down the line. I thought maybe it would be easier to swap out the burners as opposed to messing up the threads in the cast iron to the nozzles. (Only because I heard it can happen due to it's brittleness) Mine are set up for propane, but since I am...

Freebooters, I live about 2 1/2 hours from you. Wished we could have a Brutus Brew Day. I'm getting ready to brew my first batch on my Brutus, which will be a Helles. Very nice by the way.

    My Brutus finally done

That thing had me laughing so hard when I saw it. I just knew I had to have it. The fermenter is 7 gallon at full capacity, so....it's perfect for 5-6 gallon batches. I used worm clamps which are stainless steel and attached it that way. Glad to hear it is working. I cannot wait to brew on...
