How to buy used propane tanks... or not?

be careful...meth labs use them for off gassing. Check the valve and stems for any discoloration/corrosion...and stay well away from em. something i had to learn thanks to new FEMA regulations on fire training

    Coolbot

i'd think at that point the condensation in the air conditioner would freeze on the metal coils causing the AC to stop blowing cool air?

    Idea for fire extinguisher...

just a heads up, not all fire inspectors run out of fire houses. It depends if your town is small or not. Not sure how stuff works in cali, but over here we have a county fire inspector as well as our local inspectors. If you live in a larger town/city, that has a career fire department, its...

    Idea for fire extinguisher...

your best bet might be talking to the local fire inspector...ask him if he knows where you could get a used class A (pressurized water) extinguisher. Usually extinguisher service shops sell them.

    Idea for fire extinguisher...

and even better if transporting moon shine...and as an added bonus it comes with a pressurized straw! in all honesty, the only extinguishers i'd repurpose would be a class A, SS 2.5gal pressurized water extinguishers, and the steel class B & C CO2 extinguisher - stay away from ABC extinguishers...

I'm assuming ur referring to me? That wouldn't really matter because the plastic isn't sitting in the boiling water...it'd be getting hit by steam which has a smaller surface area, so it wont see that 200* :)

    Hop screen help

i was just over a fellow member's house yesterday to get bottles, just so happens he was brewing and showed me his set up. For the hops he built a really cool "hop bag" using a paint strainer and some hardware found at home depot or lowes. Definitely think I'll be going this route with my next...

    Hop screen help

haven't tried it yet, actually just bought them the other day so waiting for em to get here. i'd say fill the infuser with enough hops so that they can still kind of move around, but barely. It's almost the same concept as straining tea, as long as water can flow freely over the hops you...
