Apart from methanol production, the vapors produced from distilling are very volatile and can lead to explosions when not done safely. The only danger I've found from homebrewing is spending so much time and money on such an awesome hobby.

We just got Ballast Point brews here in the last couple months. Not quite as good as on tap at City Delicatessen in Hillcrest, but still great beers.

I love sour beers, but I had to struggle to get through this one, it was like drinking vinegar. The worst beer I remember having was in college, called Sierra Light. Uncarbonated as soon as you open it, warm urine all the way down.

I'm not sure which one that is, but the dive bar I used to frequent may as well as have had holes in the floor, it would have been an improvement.

I dumped a Rye Pale Ale that was over the top phenolic. It's a right of passage.
