    You'll probably get more hops into the brew this way. Honestly, you paid good money for em, why not squeeze everything you can out of em! Many better brewers than I would say a full boil (what you did) is superior to a partial boil (what the recipe called for). Both methods make beer.

    The stainless one can be boiled, so that is a plus if you really concerned. I wouldn't put the plastic in the dish washer ever though, the detergent will scour it and could give a home for some critter to live in. I'd give 99.9% that neither will give you and problems if properly sanitized...
