Brewed the extract version today, my OG was off at 1.060. The hydro sample tasted and smell great, color looks good. I changed the hop additions of the simcoe and amarillo. I add .50oz of each at 10min and .50 oz of each at 0min.

I had to use wlp 1060 yeast and cascade instead of Amarillo

Took my first hydro reading today. 1.016. Tomorrow will be two weeks fermenting. Will check it again tomorrow.

Pickup my ingredients today, brew this on Tuesday.

Bypassing the built in thermostat, allows you to drop the temp past 40 deg.

Did my first extract brew today. A Bavarian Hefewezin, Everything pretty much went ok and its now sitting in the fermentator. Two things got me. I should have really heated up the LME, when I went to add the first 3lbs, it was still pretty thick. Second, was my nozzle was stuck on my garden hose...
