We had a great Brew Day at CanyonBrewers yesterday!! Many, many thanks for his hospitality to allow us to invade his house! :mug: While only 3 of us were there, we had a great time and it was amazing working on CB's system. I've got pics that I'll post later when I get a chance. We have...

I do mostly beer but this was my very first batch of wine. It was a Pinot Noir that came out very well!! I had a lot of compliments on it and want to do more but the beer monster keeps grabbing me!!!!

National Homebrew comp...what are you entering?

I got one entered. I was lucky I got that! I was in the second round of registration and the Tulsa site closed in like 13 minutes! I couldn't even get in at all on the first day. Anyway, I entered an 13E American Stout.

It's been awfully quiet here the past week!! Who all is planning on being at CanyonBrewers on Saturday? I'm going to have some "Rowdy Red" amber ale and some of my American stout for anyone to try. Canyonbrewer: Do you need anything? Let me know and I can pick up whatever you need. Also...

Best heat sources: Belt or mat? Or something else?

Check these out at Walmart. They're only $11 in the store. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Lasko-Products-My-Heat-Personal-Heater/16503222[/URL] Also, this: http://brewstands.com/fermentation-heater.html I use this probably more than the other. They both work great.

Red Rocket multiple strains of yeast?

I just brewed this beer and it finished fermenting. I used the WLP001 and got about 78% attenuation. It finished about 7%. Looking forward to getting this carbed up. BTW... just use one of those! :)

Just checked my Amber and it's good. Dried out just how I wanted it to. I got 78% attenuation out of WLP001! Finished at 1.014 for 7%! Very clear and has a nice taste. Gonna crash it down today and keg tomorrow so I'll have some for brew day. Looking forward to getting together. Next...

    Lagunitas Hop Stoopid

It's OK but to me the hop flavor tasted artificial. It had a good flavor and all but I couldn't get past the "fake" hop taste. Yea, I knew they used hop extract and maybe that tainted my opinion but you can tell the difference between that and Ruination in a big way. It was only $2 cheaper...

I live in Rock Hill but work in Columbia. Bet-Mar is verrry expensive! I 'm fortunate to have Alternative Beverages in Charlotte that I go to. They are awesome and really take care of you. You guys are right about the guy there. I've asked him some questions before and didn't get a very...

Rock Hill / Ft. Mill Homebrewers

Sounds great to me! My Amber should be ready. I'll rack to keg this weekend so that'll give it two weeks to carb. It'll be a little young but it should be good. I'll bottle some up and bring along. Maybe I'll also bring a bottle or two of the American Stout I entered in Nationals and see...
