Angry at home brew store owner!

He sells all types of brewing equipment and ingredients. It's sad because I don't like going in there anymore. I get my supplies online now. It just annoyed me that he said that all grain takes 7 hours. Surely he should be telling them it depends on your system?

Angry at home brew store owner!

I don't feel bad calling them noobs as I'm still relatively new to the hobby. He has also told me that all grain is too much hard work and I should stick to extract. Being called a noob is not offensive in my book.

Angry at home brew store owner!

Hay people. Just a little thing here. I went into my local home brew shop here in England and I over herd a convocation between two noobies and the hbs owner. They wanted to get into brewing and wanted to know more about the all grain process, the owner then began to tell the noobs that all...

    First batch tonight!

It depends on what setup u want and the space available to you. Also weather you want to just buy all the equipment ready to go, or weather your good at DIY projects. I made my own mash tun and wort chiller. It saved me a lot of money. :)

Yet another "check my DIPA" thread

I wouldn't use cascade at the 60 min boil as its more of a aroma hop. Also are you dry hopping? :)

    Some advice please. :)

IbrewMaster is awesome! I've had it for a couple months now and couldn't brew without it. It lets you print your recipes for brew day too. :)

    Electric hob

I was just looking at these electric brewing kettles, the cheaper ones look ok but do they last? I don't really need one with a thermostat as it would only be used to boil my wort. Any good places to buy one? I looked at Lidl and couldn't find anything. Cheers

    Electric hob

Hmm just what I was thinking whilst brewing. But outside brewing is hard as it rains a lot here in England. Maybe a electric kettle?

    Electric hob

Haha you would be right. I'm from England. Yes it took 45 mins from mash to boil. It was a long night of brewing. So if you split the pots you just half your hop editions for each pot?

    Electric hob

So I'm brewing for the first time in my new house and it has a electric hob. It's taken me 45 mins just to get to the hot break!! Any tips on improving this?

    Stout question?

Cheers. I have never used either. I live in the UK and decided to stock up on American hops. But I need to make a stout for Xmas and I'm low on money so ill need to use either of these hops. I don't really want aroma so I take it ill go with the highest AA%

    Stout question?

Hi all, just a quick question, I'm doing a dry stout for the first time and I only have chinook and willamette hops. Which would be best? Or is it down to preference?
