    First big bad noob mistake!!

The problem was that as I had to turn the fire back on. The bottom was too hot for the nylon bag. This beer won't be organic, but maybe it will give nice new feelings :cross:

REX-C100 PID (cheapest PID on ebay)

Thanks to all of you. I bought 2 of these yesterday on ebay. I asked the seller to refund it minutes ago... before he ships them. 5500W RIPP ultra-low density element in Canada?

I'm looking too for this kind of water element in canada. I found that amazon.com can ship it here, but it's 24$ for the element and 20$ for the shipping. So 44$ for this element. Any update on this? Someone found another place or another way to go around?

    First big bad noob mistake!!

For the first time, I wanted to brew using speciality grains (Fat Tire Clone) and DME. I took a large nylon bag to put the grains, but I couldn't hit the desired temp at first. I decided to put the heat back. Bad Idea!! :( My nylon mesh bag was to large and melt on the bottom of my pot

    My ghetto brewstand build

I know you can use a March or Chugger pump and control the flow with a ball valve. Nisk916, your stand looks good. I want to build mine but I wonder what material to use, I want it to be strong enough. Hot water is heavy and if it's boiling I don't want the stand to break.
