Ales in All Creatures Great and Small

Then I had a sad thought - maybe it's just Coke Zero in those mugs - the actors are at work, after all

    Co2 question

If I were starting over I might go the rent/lease route. I had a shiny aluminum 5lb but since COVID the gas plant near me stopped doing fills and can only do swaps so I have a scratchy steel one now. I also have a shiny new aluminum 20 pounder that was filled before COVID and still going strong...

    Homebrewing and Bodybuilding/Fitness

Garage/brew space/gym. Been known to do a few pull-ups during mash. Don't eat a lot for breakfast or lunch typically. Leaves room for a pint or two of homebrew. That plus CrossFit workouts at home I stay at good weight.

    SodaStream for beer

I love stories like this. A) involves homebrew flying everywhere B) involves an attempt to "repurpose" innocent non-brewing device for the good of homebrew. Thanks for posting!

Pluto Gun Replacement Seal & O-Rings (Rebuild Kit)

Working now after clean/lube/re-assemble. Makes me wonder if wasn’t put together right. Diagrams not easy to find - here’s pic of what it looked like before putting back together and working

Pluto Gun Replacement Seal & O-Rings (Rebuild Kit)

Thanks for posting this info. I also have all new stainless steel Pluto guns (3 of them) but having an issue with one already - it will hold a seal fine but after a pour, and releasing handle it doesn't seal all the way and sprays foam until I twist the back screw a little. I've adjusted the end...

Just try to figure all this out after you've had a homebrew or two.

What I did for beer today

transferred a lagering lager to a serving keg. Transferring from a corny keg to a Sanke - not something you see everyday. Thought @bracconiere might enjoy trying to figure this one out :p

Time to change the Picnic Facuet???

What I'm doing with this setup with Sanke kegs is when I finish a keg, I connect the coupler to a keg that has been filled with Star San (which is how I store my kegs ready to be purged with CO2 and filled with beer) and run some Star San through the line/pluto gun. Then then coupler and line...

Time to change the Picnic Facuet???

There was another thread about this recently. This is my Pluto gun "conversion" from picnic taps. The weight of the guns (these are the stainless ones) is nice for keeping them in place. Nice laminar flow - no foam - when I went to 8-10 feet of 3/16 ID tubing EVA Beer Line Tubing - 3/16 in (5...

Why no higher end picnic taps?

The pluto guns are working out nicely for my setup, once I got the tubing right (8-10 feet of 1/16" ID EVA barrier/silver). The weight of the pluto guns keeps them from falling all the time like the picnic taps. When kegs are empty just switch coupler to keg filled with Star-San; run some...
