    Concord tri-ply 10g pot

Hiyas, for me the thick bottom does help from scorching. If you are brewing electric like JONNYROTTON it doesn't matter because the heating element is in direct contact with the wort. The thermal mass does help if your brew kettle doubles as your mash tun. For 80 bucks and free shipping 10...

    Mash Tun heat sink

Just a passing thought. If one was to use say, a large granite rock or some other dense mass in the range of say 20lbs. Heat it to your 152f or what ever conversion temp you are shooting for and place it into your mash tun then add your biab strike water and then the grains. Wouldnt the mass...

    BIAB AG recipe question

Thank you for all the information. I also am a avid gardener with a tomato passion. One year I grew 35 different variety's of tomatoes lmao. So I have been wanting to get a refractometer to measure the brix values of my tomatoes anyways. I guess this gives me one more reason to get off my butt...

    BIAB AG recipe question

Yes the kit question has made me ponder for sometime. The strength of the hops in the kit if its not given could mess me up totally and I wouldnt be able to recreate the recipe without trial and error. The grains could need more crushing. So far bourbon mashes have been easy for me and fun. I...

    BIAB AG recipe question

I take everything with a grain of salt, and from what I understand the grind on the grain needs to be finer for biab and that helps a ton on efficiency.

    BIAB AG recipe question

From what I understand not all borosilicate glass is created equal. I keep seeing comments about bubbles of air in the glass and not a flat bottom which causes the magnet stir stick to fly off. Could someone point me in the right direction of a good flask?

Hi im new to BIAB and have only been doing bourbon mash recipes. Im going to jump into AG beer in the near future and have a few questions. I used the search feature and ran across a lot of good information, but need clarification. Can I use a AG kit that doesnt say its for BIAB or do I...
