Belgian Dark Strong Ale Westvleteren 12 Clone - Multiple Award Winner

This is coming back around on my brew calendar soon so I wanted to touch on this head issue again. I have the same problem with a dubbel I brewed (CSI's Rochefort 8 recipe) last year, even though it just took 3rd in a contest last weekend. This time, I'd planned on brewing a 1.064 dubbel...

Metallic Taste After 1 Week in Corny Keg?

What did you use to wash your keg and how well did you rinse before StarSan? I got a metallic taste on a couple kegs and after looks of inquiry and looking at my process, I determined I was not rinsing my OxyClean well enough before using StarSan. I haven't had that off-flavor since.

    The 2016 NHC - Results/Speculation Thread

From the AHA forum: The selection of the competition sites pretty much depends on having a core group of people step up (contact the AHA) to organize the competition locally. Volunteers need to have an adequate pool of BJCP judges in the region for the competition. Volunteers pick the judging...

    The 2016 NHC - Results/Speculation Thread

Judging was supposed to occur Thursday & Friday, right? I just assumed the website would have been changed to "VERIFYING" over the weekend.

    The 2016 NHC - Results/Speculation Thread

Seems Nashville probably still isn't finished judging since the status is still OPEN instead of VERIFYING. Through (7) locations posting, the most popular categories: 1. Specialty (64.9) 2. Belgian Strong (36.3) 3. IPA (36.1) t4. American IPA (33.9) t4. Spice/Herb/Vegetable (33.9) 6...

I'd rather have Nashville wait another week and have it done right instead of rushing it and screwing it all up.

While technically in Athens, Creature Comforts is having their 2nd Anniversary this wkend. You should try to attend. Could hit Terrapin while in Athens. In ATL, Burnt Hickory, Monday Night Brewing, & Orpheus Brewing would be nice spots. Porter is a GREAT beer bar
