    OK for sanitizing

    Haha. We use the same stuff at work to sanitize food surfaces, and I have been filling gallons up (from a tap we have at work that automatically dillutes it) and using it for sanitizing my equipment. So far, after 2-3 brews, no infections or problems so I assume it is working well. Much cheaper...

    How to: plastic soda bottle conditioning testers?

    Your glass bottles have a headspace, right? Wouldn't it make sense to let the soda bottle replicate it in anyway? I can understand the fears of oxidation, as plastic is permeable to oxygen, but squeezing the headspace out would hardly change that (from my own understand, someone please correct...

    Cider/Apfelwein - Avoiding Rhino Farts for SWMBO

    As said before, Rhino farts are from stressed yeasties producing sulfur dioxide. The acid and tannin are good for balancing the taste while the moss and sparkalloid are good for clearing. Though, neither are good for your purposes. Pick up some energizer/nutrient from your LHBS.

    Black Cherry Cider

    Just yesterday I started an Oat Graff that I will be backsweetening with black cherry juice/cherry-apple concentrate from Old Orchard (so I don't dilute the ABV too much). I have a feeling it is going to be pretty tasty. :cross:
