    South Carolina Electric All-Grain Brewery - $3,500

Yea. Pretty expensive since I'm selling everything. Shelves, stainless table. Dorm room size fridge used as fermentation chamber. It's everything you need for all-grain. Included test equipment, cleaning supplies and chemicals for water.

Hasn't sold yet. Had a guy down a couple of weeks ago. He's supposed to let me know in a week or so.

Accepting ' reasonable offers'. Brew day is about 4- 4.5 hours. Never brewed more than 10 gallons at one time. A 15 gallon batch shouldn't add much.

    NEW StrangeBrew Elsinore Thread

If you have launched application on the RPi and your phone is on the same network, then that should work. I am able to access mine from IPhone, IPad, surface tablet and laptops. Might want to download putty and see if you can connect to the RPi via ssh. Be sure to enable ssh on the RPi.

Yes. Simply loosen the compression fitting and slide the probe out. It's also not necessary to screw it down real hard. That destroys your o-rings. If you notice a slight leak, just tighten a little more. Be sure to order some replacement o-rings.

https://www.brewershardware.com/CF1412.html This is the link to the compression fittings I use. The only draw back to this setup is that you have to be recirculating to get an accurate temp. I'm thinking about drilling a thermowell into my boil kettle to keep from recirculating, but I can't...

My monitor is off to the left on a desk. I didn't have to drill my fittings. They were designed to work with these probes. I'll see if I can find where I ordered them from and get back with you this evening.

Here is my setup. You'll see my hosehead on the lower shelf on the left. I love my setup and the ease of configuration of this system. The compression fitting screws into a tee on the outlet valve and you use two o-rings to make it water tight.

Kinda cold in the basement brewery this morning. Time to turn on the heater and get going. Man, I'm loving my Hosehead and all electric brewing.

I have some issues with the software also. A lot of times I can't add timers, etc. Tried chrome, ie and Firefox. When I get it all set up it sometimes loses my settings when I exit. Unless there's a 'big' update, I won't be doing any now that everything seems to work for my setup.

Brewed a Chocolate Stout today on my Hosehead system. The brew day went off great. Was able to hit and hold 152 degrees in my mash tun using my herms and did a mash out for the first time. Took about 25 minutes to get the mash tun to 168 degrees. Did have a brain fart. Went to shut down my...

    hosehead electronic brewery controller

I use a HERMS coil and I add additional water to my 15 gallon HLT as I mash in. By the time I get my grains in my mashtun, my HLT is up to temp for recirculation, so it doesn't add anytime to my day and I'm using a 4500 watt boilcoil in my HLT. In reality I actually get over a 3 degree rise in...
