    Things a Homebrewer Thinks

Benefits of a kegerator... My head says that as long as I don't empty this glass, I have only had one glass. My feet say, "wait walk, no, not going to work, I don't care how much you want to refill that not quite empty glass":drunk:

    Adding Taps to Kegarator

I have been doing the same for my kegerator, it will hold 3 ball lock kegs, but only came with single tap 2.5" tower. Being the cheap bastard that I am, purchasing a new 3 tap tower is out of the question, and trying to come up with a cheap diy option that would look good with the black and...

    co2 cold?

Room temperature is fine, it's just usually easier to have it inside the fridge for a cleaner look, and avoids the need to run a hose into the fridge.

Do I need a loveseat and chair in my living room?

Hmm, how about a custom built couch with a temperature controlled compartment under the seat... I just recently, well 2 weeks ago, added a couch and chair to my living room, only took 4 years to get around to that. Yes, I live alone...and only added the furniture to be closer to my kegerator:drunk:

    Stick vs MIG welder

Ideally, you would find a tig welder for stainless steel... That being said, I would probably look into the mig welder, as it will be easier to learn, and you will probably find more uses for it than the stick welder. Also, check the power requirements for the welders you are looking at, verses...

Looking for SPDT Relay 12Volt Coil Load 30Amp 120/240VAC

You might check out this guy: http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=70132358#tab=specs Looks like the spec sheet for 125/240VAC switching is 30 amps for N.O. and 15 amps for N.C.

    Filling a 5 lb. co2 tank

Yep, that would work, and it is how propane tanks are filled with liquid, well at least those without opd valves. The trick here is that liquid CO2 converts to gas very quickly, equalizing the tank pressures, and standard tanks do not have a pressure vent valve on them, minus of course the...

    Filling a 5 lb. co2 tank

From my personal experience, that is not a concern, as the gas pressure in the tank will equalize before you finish transferring the liquid, which also means, you will not get a full 5lbs in a 5lb tank when filling from a larger tank. I can usually get about ~3lbs in my 5lb tank when filling...

    Filling a 5 lb. co2 tank

I guess the question would be, is the end of your existing hose 1/4" flare connection, or 1/4" NPT connection? If it is 1/4" NPT, you should be able to screw it onto a CGA 320 nipple, otherwise you will need a matching 1/4" flare to 1/4" NPT adapter to go between the hose and nut/nipple. The...

    Affordable brew kettle

How about this aluminum 32qt steamer pot from target for $22? I have used it on my electric stove top, centered up over two burners, and it seems to get the job done. http://www.target.com/p/imusa-32-qt-aluminum-tamale-steamer/-/A-10910892

    Asco redhat 2 valve help

I have ran into this problem with asco, burkert, parker, and a few other brands of solenoid valves, and the majority of the time it is due to a small spec of material stuck on the rubber diaphragm. I would start by removing the plastic cap from the top of the solenoid, then the retainer clip...

"Hacking" a Cornelius Venture Pre-Mix Soda Dispenser

Ok, freezing would be the obvious reason, that makes me want to start designing some sort of water circulation system with a bypass for dispensing. It would probably be cheaper and easier to go with the fountain machine... I just purchased my machine this past Friday from an auction company and...

"Hacking" a Cornelius Venture Pre-Mix Soda Dispenser

I maybe missing something completely obvious, as I am just starting to learn about the soda fountain world, but what about using a cold plate like would be used for a wunder bar style soda dispenser? I would think that you could just freeze it in a block of ice in your freezer and run the lines...
