    Business plan in the works!

I've thought about that too, but Atlanta has a pretty high geek to normal ratio. If you've ever been in town during DragonCon you'd understand. :D

    Business plan in the works!

Greetings! I've been a habitual lurker on these forums for a couple years now, and I have learned a great deal from all you guys, so thank you for helping me discover my passion for brewing. I am putting together a business plan with my local college's Small Business Development center, and...

Easy label removal on what beers?

If you have a Trader Joe's nearby, this beer tastes all right but it comes in swing tops and the label falls off in a sanitizer soak. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/neros-apecchio-red-ale/160170/

    My family homebrew debut

So I brought homebrew to a family gathering for the first time today, my pumpkin porter. Feedback included: 1. As we went around saying what we were thankful for during grace, my nerdy college professor uncle said "Would it be appropriate to say I am thankful for Brandon's homebrew?" 2...

    biab

I mash with 5 gallons of water in my 7.5 G turkey fryer aluminum pot with a 5 gallon paint strainer bag, then twist, drain, press down with the pot lid then sparge with another 2.5 gallons to hit a 7 gallon boil volume. Usually boils down to 5 gallons. Ive been able to do a batch of 12-13 lbs...

    Poor mans wet cob ale

"Feeding the llama" sounds like a dirty euphemism of some sort.

Zomg bell's two-hearted at mah kroger

Yep. Ive brewed the centennial blonde ale before, and I definitely recognized the flavors, but with bell's its just so in your face I really got an appreciation for it.

Zomg bell's two-hearted at mah kroger

Just tried it for the first time. It's like....millions of bubbly tangerines just exploded in mah mouf! That is a tasty, and potent, beverage!

    Great Beer names

My Halloween pumpkin porter was called Night of the Living Bread and the label was Eric Villafane's pumpkin carving of a zombie crawling out of a humongous pumpkin. I added a word balloon next to the zombie to where he's moaning about "Graaaaaaaiiins"

    A moment of silence, please.

I feel ya dude. It's such a soul-crushing feeling, more so I guess because we make it with our own hands.

    A moment of silence, please.

Well, I keep my bottles in old 12-pack boxes (as you can see) in the furnace/water heater room downstairs. My water heater bit the dust this past Sunday and flooded that room, which weakened the bottom of the box. So when I picked them up the bottom fell out; all 12 bottles hit the tile floor...

They were my own. My first IPA, AND the first all-grain batch where I hit all my numbers. Thankfully I only lost 6. This is gonna be a tasty one. :)

No, I always wear shoes to bottle cause I'm on my feet so much and I need the support.

    A moment of silence, please.

The crash scared the crap out of my 16-month old baby girl too. So we had a good cry together. :D
