Hey OP, where ya from? I was born and raised in Greenville. Good luck in the legalization fight.

    Brew day help needed! Marshmallows!

Awesome idea! We've got a local nano near me in Kennesaw GA (Burnt Hickory Brewing) that does a graham cracker stout. You could add cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to get the graham cracker flavor as well I bet.

Any other recent/to be new Dads?

Here is my little helper brewing her own beer with Daddy. That's her steinbeer with a rock in it. (Note the burner is off; so I still retain my Father of the Year award.)

    Honeysuckle Bier

I know this is a very old thread but my wife is very knowledgeable about holistic remedies and things and she says this essence wouldn't give you any flavor or aroma of honeysuckle. So I'm just throwing that out there because she asked me to. :)

Any other recent/to be new Dads?

I have a 2-year old and she loves playing in the driveway with me while I brew. I let her stir the mash, and she has her own little 2-gallon pot and she brews "beer" in. Yesterday during my IPA brew day she put a rock and a pinecone in the water in her brewpot. We're calling it a West Coast...

Argh! My winter warmer tastes like BUNG!

I used 2 smack packs of the Wyeast Scottish ale yeast; the fermentation temp was around 65-70. I understand this is a little high for that yeast, but I didn't expect an off-flavor quite this overwhelming. I don't use bleach for sanitation, only starsan. My water temperature during the mash...

Argh! My winter warmer tastes like BUNG!

No, it has been stored in my basement utility room the whole time except for when I racked it in the garage. The bung has a really strong rubber smell, and if the beer was exposed to that for 2 weeks trapped in the fermenter, doesn't it stand to reason it could absorb the odor and affect the...

Argh! My winter warmer tastes like BUNG!

So, I bottled my winter warmer tonight after aging on oak chips soaked in Johnny Walker Black for about 16 days. On the first taste, my reaction at first was, "Awesome! The scotch and oak really shine in this!" It was my first time using oak, so I was really excited, especially since I planned...

    Trans Atlantic Beer Exchange?

I work for a craft beer-only store in Atlanta, and I have access to many of the brewers you are looking for, minus Cigar City and Heady Topper. We also have several excellent local brewers in an exponentially growing craft beer scene. I am definitley willing to trade as I love the uk beer...

    Business plan in the works!

I'm guessing you probably aren't our target market then. But, no, I appreciate your honest feedback, and it is food for thought. As I said, this is a work in progress. In all honesty I probably did jump the gun on going live with the indiegogo campaign before the business plan was in place...

    Business plan in the works!

A good thought. At this point these beers are in the idea stage. I will definitely be playing around with these recipes before we are underway to see what works. I am not a fan of overpowering exotic flavors in beer either; these additions are meant to subtly change the flavor. If it doesnt...

    Business plan in the works!

Hey, it's a free country, and you're certainly entitled to that opinion. And I am definitely interested in pursuing traditional investors as well. I prefer to keep all my options open. I'm not looking for any handouts here; I'm hoping to raise money and spread the word by selling shwag, just...

    Business plan in the works!

Hey, I'll add anything to my toolbelt that works. Kickstarter may be next on the list. :) I'm working two jobs as well to support my family and save up the cash.
