Wow that shocks me, there is now way I would have guess the beer I was tasting was 1.006!! It tasted much fuller, chewy almost. What and how much oak did you use?

Good thats exactly what I got, lots of it in the aroma but very little taste. Im excited to try your 11.11.11 the brett pretty much completely took over mine.

Glad you liked the Berliner Brian. It was indeed just wheat malt and pilsner malt. It turned out pretty good, I think it could have been just a little bit tarter but other than that I was happy with it. Were you able to detect any brett taste in it? It had a pretty good pellicle for awhile.

I cant taste it at all in the water before brewing. This beer was kegged and tasted fine, so it is my belief that the water I used to make my starsan to sanitize the bottles got some chlorine from the pvc hose. I will try and change and see if that helps.

I can second that recipe. And I guess I could live with some people adding some of the others you listed as long as it was advised on the swap so we could try and taste the difference.

I think this works, I can live with no crystal. So if we take this we need come up with an OG, oak or not and then the yeast we want to use.

I guess I dont understand, are you stating you think it fizzled because this recipe is not 'jazzy' enough for most people?

Im with you bottlebomber, the only variable should be MO or GP. And I like your recipe and second it. What yeast are you thinking? I am thinking 1728 for it should give some smoky characteristics.
