    Soup

A pic of the leftovers. The soup has chicken, meatballs, bamboo shoots, quail eggs and some other stuff I couldn’t identify. One of the best soups I’ve had.

    Dry Hopping Mead?

A “cleaner” alternative would be to use a small amount of water and make a hop tea. If you kept the temp around 170 or 180f, it would be comparable to whirlpooling in beer. You could use the tea to slowly dose your mead to get the amount of flavor desired. Thanks for this thread as I enjoy...

how about a meme generator thread...

Holy nostrils , I just found my new hobby. I had a coworker who bought one of those universal tv power things. It would turn off almost any tv, you could also adjust the volume. It would work most of the time. You could walk into any bar, restaurant or lobby and mess with the tv. Genius.

Can You Line the Air Fryer Tray with Foil?

They sell disposable liners that are made of parchment. They’re designed to fit various sizes. I use them all the time. Just remember to spread your food evenly across or the corners start to fold in. Clean up is a cinch. I got mine on the big A.

What hops you you use/keep on hand the most?

Perfect list. This would cover 95% of my beers. The old guy in me would also add cascade.

    Conditioning Question

Another thing to consider is to check CL or other sites for one gallon jugs. There is a guy here who sells bottles etc. he always has glass 1 gallon jugs and he sells them for $2. Or if you check health food stores you can sometimes find apple juice in 1g jugs. If you split your mead into 4...

    Soup

No pics but a Hmong friend of ours bright over curry soup. She also brought a plate of fixings’ that included; cilantro, red onion, basil, mint, lime, cabbage and cooked sliced pork. It had a little kick to it and was dang tasty. The fixins plate reminded me of my mom’s pozole, minus the...

    Orange Sage Mead

Ok ok I’m a bit slow but here it is. On November 24th I started this batch. It’s a little over 3 gallons. I made about 3.25 gallons to account for loss since I’ll be aging the batch on a 3g glass carboy. Batch size 3.25 gallons -9lbs orange blossom honey -3 ish gallons of store bought spring...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Spatchcocked, brined and smoked turkey. Always comes out tasty. Several guests who had never had smoked turkey were really impressed. Very little leftovers. Side note- I won the Inkbird bbq pro on this forum several years ago. This thing rocks. Not overly complicated and does what it’s supposed...

    Lebkuchengewürz

Great advice above. I’d add just a couple of spices such as cinnamon and maybe ginger. Then adjust with a spice tea post fermentation. Certain spices seem to pick up a supernatural power during fermentation. Cloves etc >I once made a basic mead with a sprinkle of herb de Provence. It tasted...
