    0.25oz dry of Citra at 7 days in my past 3 has been a good compliment to Belle Saison. PS: 5 gal batch.

    My first burner was like that. I drilled holes on either side of the tail piece into the heat shield, ran self tapping screws in the holes, and put a piece of wire under the burner to hold it level. Cheap and easy.

    I did pretty much the same thing a few weeks ago to a blonde ale. It turned to be alright. Not my best brew, but I’m going to drink it. Lol I called it the hot blonde.

    Look for the tri-clad bottom pots. Less chance for getting a hot spot.
