    Need advice...please!

I do believe you could use campden tablets prior to bottling to control the yeast.

    Need advice...please!

I would bottle it and just be careful not to get the "cheeries and gunk" into the bottles.

Think I'm in Trouble...Well Not Really

Visit bars. Ask them to save bottles for you. If your state recycles, you can stop by beer stores and ask very nice for the empties. You could also find a recycling drop off center that has an open back door and go through the bottles there. Good luck

    Hornsby Amber Draft Cider

I think that getting some good juice (I bet Cider from a local orchard or if you have to, organic from the grocery store would work best) and using ec-1118 should produce good cider. If you check out the ratings of the yeast by Appleyard, 1118 rates about as well as the code named "George"...

    Yeast for cider

A good yeast selection article by Greg Appleyard: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/scrumpy/cider/ciderca2.htm I think the "george" yeast is George Hornsbys and EC1118 scored close to it. Ive also heard cotes des blancs is good (never tried it)

    Making Cider

tempted-fate, hard cider is pretty much just apple juice/cider fermented. You can get yeast at a local home brew store or many places on the web. The yeast package is meant for 5 gallons, as why most recipies call for 5 gallons. You could just separate the yeast into fifths however. Yeast...

    Re-capping Heineken bottles

I played around with the capper and some other bottles and you are right lost, the capper seems to hold better to the other bottles.

    Re-capping Heineken bottles

Does anybody have any experience with recapping Heineken bottles with a wing style capper? It doesnt seem that they are sealing that well.
