I moved my centennial from its current pot to a 20g pot today. Overall I think it went well but a few of the upper inches broke when trying to unwind from the tomato cage. The other two plants have been growing like crazy and this one just seemed to stall out. The centennial was the only one...

I would agree, moving it shouldn't be a problem. My chest freezer (fermentation chamber) is in my garage but I bottle in the kitchen. I move my bucket everytime I bottle and normally let it sit about 30-40 mins before I begin racking and haven't had a problem.

This is probably the last week I'll be able to move them. The Galena is already at the top of the tomato cage I have it in, it's going to need a trellis or twine ASAP. Fingers crossed this is the last cold snap.

Luckily mine are in 20g pots so I just brought them inside so no damage here.

We got it pretty good in Tampa too. All three plants seemed to survive pretty well, now hopefully it doesn't get too cold this weekend. Of course I fertilized the plants yesterday so hopefully not too much of it ran off with the rain, what can you do, just part of life in FLA. At this point...

How did this one come out? Any tasting notes? I'm looking to brew a cascadian and yours is one of the few I've seen with dehusked grain (one of the key requirements for the style) but would like to know how it came out first. Is this something you've tried a lot or is it experimental?

I got a couple tomato cages for mine, they are only 54 inches so I'll still need to add twine at some point but it will work for now. You could also make your own trellis, I found this on YouTube. http://youtu.be/zwWvO7loI5g

There is always the option of leaving the labels on. Nothing says you have to remove them, yes it's nice to not be pour your beer labelled as something else, but free bottles are free bottles.
