Thanks beaksnbeer, I'll have to give this a try.

Very nice Dunz, what poles did you use to string up your twine? I didn't even think about putting something attached to my fence. Very simple and effective, well done.

    My Weldless Build Using Strut

I used some sheet steel from homedepot. It's in the chimney/furnace aisle meant for make your down chimney, think it was about 6-7 bucks for a 36in piece. Worked great.

    Florida Hops experiment

I wouldn't give up on them just yet. All three of mine stalled out and I had to cut them back to the ground. My two big growers, Galena and Centennial took about a month to go again but I had no activity on my Willamette. This weekend I noticed something popping out of the side of my pot...

How about something like CNL did on post #83, a couple big wooden wheels on the back and the front as posts so you can just pick up the front and drag it to your lawn.

    First Year Hop Growers

I had to build a temporary trellis system because my main growing area is under construction. One of my plants has grown almost three feet in two weeks, I'm just astounded by them. Amazing little plants.

    Florida Hops experiment

So in the three days since I last posted the pictures, my galena has grown about 2 feet. prompting me to build a temporary trellis for it to climb. I built the trellis last night while the Galena was 2 inches above the tomato cage and it's now already a foot up the twine. The centennial is...

    Ever forget...

That my bottling sugar is in the fridge cooling after a quick boil and go ahead rack and bottle my beer... Only to find the small pot in the fridge the next morning and have to run to the LHBS to get some bottling tablets.

    What are you drinking now?

Salvatore double bock, mmm so drinkable it's hard not to finish the case.

What are you doing instead of brewing this weekend?

Continuing to tinker with my new single tier brew stand, every time I think I'm close to being done something trips me up. I'm almost ready to stain and poly then put the electronics back on.

The centennial seems to be the most full of the three but the galena is growing tall quickly but hardly has any leaves. The Willamette has come back and sprouted but really no good growth to be had. I did notice about an inch long bine today which is longer than Friday so that's a good sign...

    Florida Hops experiment

I've been having pretty good luck using orangicide. A few others on the forum sweat by it. I need to get some new pictures posted. My plats have started to come back, except my Willamette. I can see tiny buds starting but they just don't seem to want to get off the ground, they are all 1/2in...

All great songs, but I prefer the third wave ska version by Spring Heeled Jack, http://youtu.be/gfdaC6Rc64M.

    gas connection help

Another good source is Portages Specialty (http://portagespecialty.com/), I got all my fittings here for my manifold, granted I did all 3/8 flare fittings but they have all the rare fittings you can't find anywhere else at a great price. Order was easy, quick and showed up exactly with what I...

Commercial beers that let you down?

Southern Tier Pumking. I actually consider this to be one of my all time favorite beers, for the past three years my wife and I have hunted it down grabbed a few to last through fall. This year I wanted to share my superfund with some friends and family, cracked on open, poured it out and...

    Cascades in Key West

The same thing happened to me. I trimmed mine back to the ground around the end of April and I'm already seeing some promising growth again. Slower than I would like to see but growth.
