Things are winding down here, had to get a nose swab tonight after work for a flight home "starting" at oh dark thirty Saturday morning.

After a few of those tall 2M's, I had to think about that for a minute.😎

Another one of the local Mozambique beers. Easier to pronounce than the Txilar, and tastes better too!

The long tan colored bumps extending back from the eyes are the poison glands. When they squirt, it looks like styrofoam.

Yah, they're pretty poisonous, so I'll let the other toads figure it out.

Yeah, I used to have a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. Had to leave the top down all the time, because the top of the windshield was right at my eye level.

African cane toad. This is the bugger that is causing all the ecological problems in Australia.

Yah, well. They are paying for it now, through the nose, so I have "no comment".

For all in the Phoenix area, does this remind you of tubing down the Salt River?

Yeah, single incident, but we are fixing a few problems that were obviously previous. Example of stupid...somebody stepped on the angle of attack sensor below pilots window, stretching and oil canning the surrounding skin. And no we don't. You never have enough clecos on a field job like this!

The owner of the airline took us out to dinner this afternoon, had to try the local beer. Pronounced chee-lar. A bit sweet for my taste, soon switched to Patron Silver. Don't remember much after that, but my crew got me back to the hotel.

Welcome to Mozambique! It's our second day on the job, and so far we have removed 2 damaged skins from the fuselage. In the nose section, we have a few damaged frames that will need repair. Temps here are in the 70's, falling to low 60's at night. I think this place could grow on you.

Probably. And they'll probably hit you with "excess baggage charges".

What I did for beer today

Definitely stay away from the walnut. Don't know about cherry or mahogany, the maple will probably give little or no taste. For experimenting with different woods, whittle a toothpick and suck on it awhile.
