They were! Rincon Habanero is a cool authentic little spot run by Cuban immigrants (to Panamá). A little neighborhood bar with a shop next door that sells Cuban stuff, including cigars. Its in the Cangrejo district of Panama City, which is an upscale area with lots of bars and resturants...

Ah...its all in the categorization. We have a friend coming down soon who may be willing to carry some. Will confirm.

Just discovered a new brewery in Panamá: Clandestina. So far Ive tried their Pils and Wit, both pretty good.

I'll be happy to help them show up in more unexpected places! 😆

BTW, typically mega yacht crew are not permitted to bring guests aboard. So probably cant sneak aboard by chumming up with the crew. Ive met a number of young crew on shore leave who were renting hotel rooms for extra curricula activities.

Yahoo! A local shop has started carrying Rana Dorada and Casa Bruja brews. Both good Panamanian craft brews not available in local (to Volcán) retail shops before. Having a Pils and a local stogie...and fook its damn chilly outside...rainy cold day.

I like Sam Adams too. I used to work in Boston a lot. Their Rebel IPA has been showing up on the shelves here too. Unlike many American IPAs, its well balanced.
