    What to do ?

Lucky...I'd start out with a pale ale or a light ipa with a heavy dryhop. you could take them to a home brew store and see if they can sniff out what it is.

    Buying gear second hand?

Go to northern brewer and get a deluxe start kit. If you try to piece it together yourself or pay too much for too little elsewhere thats frustrating Save yourself some hassle spend the hundred or so and do it right the first time like you said earlier. I support local but If your local is too...

    Mold or yeast?

Youre right it could have been a bunch of things i just picked out the usual suspects. I dunno about the effects of dropping the temp to keep an infection at bay. Good luck and post some pics when it's in a glass I'm sure it will be tasty

    Pumpkin ale advise

Well since my friend and I are in a little competition with these pumpkin beers I was thinking before the actual home brewer pumpkin contest video we are hosting at the end of oct. so whenever his is done and we can review them. I'll post pics of some of the process before that.

    Mold or yeast?

Once you have an infection it's there. Something was either not cleaned and hid a nasty or you something you added was not cleaned.

    Mold or yeast?

If it has just started no but it might taste off. Sour. Id bottle it ASAP or keg and drink it. Should be fine though. You could let it ride and see what happens and make a sour.

    Pumpkin ale advise

I added one ounce of liquor. I would have added more but I was scared it would take over the pumpkin pie taste.

    Video Games

To be honest I have no idea what it costs to run a network such as live or psn. I for one don't mind a 4 dollar or so a month fee if it brings a better experience.Time will tell I guess.

    Video Games

I'm surprised that you found no difference from what you get with live and what you get with ps3. As far as favoritism that's just speculation. Even Sony admits that their service was lacking compared to live. Don't get me wrong I'm a Sony fan boy. To each their own. I say that small monthly fee...

    Video Games

Don't take this the wrong way but you bought a 600 dollar system for one game? I don't really care but the online as a whole was ok. Good for free but no where near what live had. This fee which is cheaper than live will enhance every aspect of what we had for free. I guess if you play only one...
