    Could you give some numbers to the terms in red? How long did you leave the beer in primary/secondary that you think you killed off some yeast? Even afer a month or two fermenting there is usally enough yeast to bottle carb.

    I use mine on a chest freezer that is as high as 65 degrees to ferment in the summer. It works out just fine

    The boy turns one today. This is far longer than I have been able to keep a plant alive. Therefore it must be reasoned that kids are easier to care for than plants.

    Are you actually boiling the grains or just steeping? Boiling grains will extract tannins and could lead to the flavor you are describing
