    you actually aren't really competing against other brews you are competing against style. But yea no second seems stupid. If there were only 2 good ones and the rest horrid I can see not giving a third but idk why they skipped over a place.

    Yea its tasty so I want to enter it, Im actually a BJCP judge, just having trouble placing where it would do best. Maybe ill roll with berliner and see what happens. The lacto is dead so it will not change over time. Its an awesome drinkable beer, just not really "in" style so trying to find...

    It should also be noted that chart is for sea level. you should add an additional .5 PSI for every 1k above sea level. being at close to 8k altitude, thats a +4 psi difference for me. I enjoy this chart as a good example as well as the one linked above...

    BCS 2 Vessel No Sparge Garage Brewery Build

    doing a 10 gallon batch this weekend, so going to rock 10 gallon mash 6 gallon sparge, so this should be a good indication of what cold water sparging can do for me.

    I insulated my bk and mlt on my electric system. seems to help a decent amount with stratification and what not, helps the system run consistent since my garage temps run from 0 - 80f

    What bjcp 2015 for session Berliner

    I made a session Berliner not as sour as traditional and even lower abv. Clocking 2.4 ish and sour just enough to give it a crispy Sharpe finish. Very clean very pale very refreshing. What 2015 category should I put it in? I'm leaning to mixed Fermentation but was hoping for some guidance. Cheers

    that's like saying you get paid 0$ an hour because you get paid for your time and your time costs you money. at some point you have to cut it. My netflix costs me 9$ a month, not $400 a month because of the amount of time I spend using it.

    yea im going to do a baltic porter soon so I will probably mash with like 2 gallons less and see what sparging with 2 gallons gives me.
