Name That Skyline - Picture Game

I initially misidentified it as this place (below), but it didn't quite match. So it is now my submission.

    Vinicunca, Peru. Or Rainbow Mountain.

Itaipu Dam it is. Sorry if the “clue” was cryptic for those not familiar with the region: the dam is just a few miles away from the Iguaçu falls in the previous submission. Itaipu is a shared enterprise between Brazil and Paraguay. Prior to the construction of Three Gorges in China, it was the...

Google fu gets you there, after scrolling through several images of Brussels’ infamous Atomium. But I’ll pass for now. I want to know how you got to this. Perhaps you have an interesting day job in intel and surveillance?

Aha! I was about to write that Manila was not technically correct but you got it! Makati CBD. I visited in 2001 and was impressed by the greatest number of back-to-back shopping malls I’ve ever seen. You’re up @InspectorJon!

Except that “skyscraper yellow edges Asia” doesn’t really get you anywhere

I agree it’s a lot more enjoyable when locations are identified by the clues, interaction or by one’s own travel memories but the rules just forbid Google image searches, not trying to guess Google keywords. Google-fu is a form of art!

You had a 50% chance there. Not Taipei.

I learned something new, but I just tried “split level gable” plus the name of the city and I didn’t get anywhere, so I’d suggest trying something else.
