BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Man! I've been working hard for three days to see if I can use a stripped down XP using either Bochs or Limbo on an android tablet and run BruControl on it! I forgot about the upcoming web server. I still wanna see if I can get it working.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

BrunDog, Since we are on the topic of LCDs (sort of), I see in the latest wiring diagrams how to wire the LCD backpack, but I can't glean from the information I read anywhere on your site or adafruit's what the actual addresses used in the firmware. I have two of them in my cabinet, and I like...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

I also was a beta tester using a adafruit feather m0 wifi atwinc1500, with one-wire probes and propane. I had an old laptop laying around, and I can confirm that BruControl can run on XP with .Net 4.0, Win7 and Win10. I wanted more portability, so threw the GUI onto an Android tablet with the...

Temperature Controlled Burners, Brutus, Banjo BG14, Piloted Honeywell Valve Questions

I big shoutout to kladue! I was scratching my head for a while to figure out how to wire two zip ports for my wok burners. Found a google archive from 2010 by kladue for panel wiring and figured it out.

    Facelift for my control panel

Thanks again. I have the timer working in two of the three positions. I think you have answered the puzzle by changing out one of the NO contacts with a NC contact. I had removed the momentary reset pushbutton for the three way switch instead.

    Facelift for my control panel

Hi, Augie, I appreciate the time and energy to answer the many questions that people have and hopefully mine as well. I was brought to this thread because of your assistance to another panel builder because of the use of the inkbird idt-e2rh timer. I want to use a three way switch on it to...

Brewtroller on an Arduino Mega Help

kdog_x, I a having a similar problem where the mega will not compile. You said that in the UI_LCD header file liquidcrystal.h was still included so it was using two copies of that library, so you commented one out and was able to upload and compile successfully. Can you show in the UI_LCD header...

    Water Meter

What is the temperature of the water supposed to be when calbrating a sight glass? Since water expands in volume with higher temperatures, I have a higher measured volume of water at 180 degrees F. than at the tap water used at calibration.

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Thanks again Alt, I will check it out. Facebook does nothing for me, except maybe in cases you are describing :)

Will it control gas solonoid valves or just electric heater elements?

Are there any DYI boards to build a gas fired rig?

Thanks for the reply, which is well taken. As a microbiologist, I knew nothing of how to build a brew stand or the electronics but wanted to learn and build everything I could. That was the main motivation, until I learned enough and spent time and money enough to suddenly realize it probably...

Are there any DYI boards to build a gas fired rig?

OK, so to look at the commercial prospects as JonW suggested, I looked at the BCS. It uses RTD probes. Do not want to go that route, as I have made my own one-wire sensors with ss tubing, waterproof m8 sensor cables, and DS18B20 sensors. MrShake, I looked at your Brewtroller, and it appears that...

Are there any DYI boards to build a gas fired rig?

I started this thread typing on an iPhone on a commuter bus, and maybe that wasn't a good idea, because I wasn't able to be specific enough. I soldered together two iterations of the teensynet project but can't get it to work. I was able use the teensypi as it was a simple shield on an older...

Are there any DYI boards to build a gas fired rig?

I appreciate your reply, MrShake, since you sell brewtrollers now, that may be a solution for others. The purpose of this thread is to find a way to build a DIY board, not buy one, that can automate a gas system.

Are there any DYI boards to build a gas fired rig?

I meant to say things like a pid or brewtroller.
