Do these things work alright with a valve on the output? Have access to a brand new one but don't want to take it if I'm going to burn it out and therefore my friend out money.

I found this on eBay and was wondering if anybody has used one before. I have 2 Cornelius carbonator pumps that I really want to use but they are both 100gph and are shaft driven so I can't hook a ball valve up for speed control. 100gph is way above what I need but they were free.

Yea I was thinking the same but got a free gallon of cider and figured why not give it a shot. Process is under way and ill let you know how it turns out.

Have the stc wired like most, left plug is heat right is cool. That's what I figured but didn't want to burn out the fridge or something. So black to blue and leave the ground. Thanks.

So just wire the 2 together and leave the ground? Like I said no prior experience doing any of these things

So I've wired it as I've seen many of people do on here. It won't drop below 44F which is where the old temp reg would stop. I took the old reg out and got no compressor at all, plugged it back in and turned the it off and still the stc would not run the comp. I still have the old one in there...

Yea pretty much any big store will have them in the back, factories as well. they are usually more than happy to give them out so they dont have to worry about disposing of them. I got mine from the winery I work at so I was able to collect the ones I like best as we got them in. Definitely...

A pain in the anal for sure. Doors on. Only one handle cause I didn't look when I grabbed them and got 2 different ones. Caulking up the gaps insulating then on with the cap. Am staining and lacquering a piece of ply to make the top a bar for serving said homebrews.

Here she is half built. Think its got the whole ye olde icehousey thing going. Making the doors now then insulation roof and floor. Temp control comes in Tuesday and I got myself an excuse to brew up a new batch!

Obviously some sarcasm in the title. All that aside am building a ferm chamber today. Have a mini fridge that I'm going to rewire for a temp control. Going for a rustic New England barn look, being a nutmegger and all I think it only fitting. Will post pictures as I go, just about to start but...

I'm going to have to get a temp controller since my old on crapped out and came across the stc-1000.read all the amazon reviews and the old threads about them on here but was just wondering what anybody else had to say about them. Ease of wiring, consistency, durability, etc. thanks.
