time to play the "can you name this style by the pictures" game.

I'll make it much easier with this hint. It's currently available on tap at their brewpub.

This is the correct brewery, but the wrong beer.

No and no. It is an actual Belgian style of beer.

Nope No, but this brewery is very close to that one. The bottle says it's a Belgian-inspired beer. I haven't looked into the actual ingredients.

I wish, but no. Since it doesn't see a wide distribution, I'll give a better hint. It's brewed in Virginia.

No, sir. I'll give this hint: It's a "Belgian-inspired" beer.

Nope. It's actually brewed on the other side of the country. Nope.

Sorry, I should have said beer and brewery. Also, it's not a Belgian quad.

Yay! This is my first time playing, so I hope I get it right.

Who has the most obscure hobby?

Thanks for all the compliments, guys! I hope to get back out there soon and take a few more. After all, I have to do something while waiting on the yeast to make beer.

Who has the most obscure hobby?

I would highly recommend it. It's a great feeling to look at something with the naked eye and know it's so far away. Not to mention you're pretty much looking back in time. I use an Orion Sirius mount/tripod with an Orion ED80 scope. It comes as a package from Orion and I feel it was a great...

Who has the most obscure hobby?

I don't know how obscure it is, but I enjoy taking photographs of very distant objects. I don't get to do it as much since I've moved to a much larger city, but I need to get back into it. It requires patience to get through all of the photographs required for one image, but it is very rewarding...

My first BIAB attempt was a success. Mostly.

I was hoping to have 5.5 gallons going into the fermentor. I'brewed a Tripel and the target OG was 1.092. I also had 2 pounds of sugar go in at 5 minutes. It was very messy. The worst part was having slightly wet feet as the temperature dropped to around 22 degrees. Anyway, I'm hoping to be...

My first BIAB attempt was a success. Mostly.

Oh, yes. It was not the most enjoyable part of the night. It was until much later that I realized the wort had splashed up into my beard. I am hoping to one day have a pulley system for brewing. Right now, though, apartment living doesn't allow for such a luxury. However, I may be able work...

My first BIAB attempt was a success. Mostly.

I definitely plan to get some kind of aeration device for future batches. I'm not sure exactly what I'll get, but I will be needing it. I probably should have just started with a small beer to figure things out, but you live and learn. Until reading these posts, it did not even occur to...

My first BIAB attempt was a success. Mostly.

I finally made the move to all-grain and brewed my first batch today. It went well for that most part, but was not without its issues. One good thing was I learned my 8-gallon kettle can handle 15 pounds of grain and 5.5 gallons of water (and probably a bit more water if I wanted). It also...
