    I haven't been able to taste any maple flavors when I use syrup to prime. Backsweetening works great though.

    freeze concentrating is a whole other animal. Applejack is the common name for it and a quick search will give you a lot of great threads to read through. From my personal experience, Applejack is great to sip on, but overindulging gives you a much worse hangover than most anything else...

    Guys, Trading in homebrew is illegal. just because you're not trading it for papers with dead presidents doesn't mean the Feds will let it slide. Keep it quiet.

    I'm blessed in that most of my coworkers have a deep respect for my homebrew. I give away 10 bottles per batch, and it's first come, first served.

    ^^ this. I bottle all my cider in Corona bottles, unless they are being gifted (then it's guinness bottles) I gave up on removing the labels after the first 25. Just not worth the effort or stress.

    Make a basic cider (edwort's apfelwein works well) and rack onto your blueberries in the secondary. easy as pie. Which orchard are you planning on getting your cider from?

    I wouldn't. Some people worry that when the plastic is heated, it releases chemicals and toxins. Not to mention, when you get it hot the bottle will be weaker and may fail.

    Are you using a stir plate? Edit: Wayne beat me to it. If the bottom is flat enough, you might be able to make it work.

    Nothing at the moment since I'm on shift at the hospital, but last night I enjoyed a limited release from Saranac brewery called Single Malt. smooth and sweet. Makes me want to experiment with using just Marris Otter
