    Married not even a half-year...

Am I the only guy here who actually lost his first wedding ring? That went over well. Worked out in the end though, the new one was an upgrade, because by that time I actually had some money. And I've had it for 15+ years now. It never comes off. I learned my lesson.

    carboy cart on sale

Harbor freight has this furniture moving dolly on sale for $7.99. I just got one recently and it works really well as a carboy cart when using a milk crate. No more back strain moving carboys around! I was concerned about using it on carpeting, but it works fine.

    Need help soldering a chiller

I got the brass hose fittings at HD or Menards. Here's something else I found real handy when the chiller is all done: quick release hose fittings.. These were only $5.99/pair on amazon, cheaper than you'd find at Mcmaster or other places. Makes setting up and tearing down quick and painless...

    Hallertau and....

I haven't used enough noble hops to know their aroma or flavors. I did use some leaf tetnanger last year, it was a soft floral almost lemony flavor. I just went straight hallertau today, in a blond ale. Smelled great.

    Hallertau and....

What goes good with Hallertau as a paired hop? I've heard Saaz, but as of right now I don't have any. I was tempted to just do straight Hallertau, I do like the smell of noble hops, but was wondering if anyone had some good experience with any different kinds of hops used with it. Thanks!

What about those of us that PM'd you before the announcement about the homebrew clubs only? Should we resend?

Angry at home brew store owner!

It's funny, I think there was another thread on here about how short a brew day could get. If I put my mind to it I can get it done just inside of 4 hours (batch sparge). But it's not a race, sometimes the day seems less stressful just to take your time.

    Help, 5lb CO2 only lasts about 2 – 3 kegs

Gas in are the ones with notches. See arrows.

    Label Peelers says longer!

You haves a point, just one pound of the "hot" hops has put me in purgatory.

New to all-grain. Is Blichmann best?

I have two systems, one with keggles, my only beef with them is the weight and thermal mass. I do see why people go with 15g kettles instead. But you can't complain about the cost.

    Label Peelers says longer!

Yeah I tried to call them and the phone was busy several times in a row. Must be super busy. Like an accountant in March.

New to all-grain. Is Blichmann best?

I have used one of those, not for long but I did use it. Some people coil copper or stainless wire into a spring shape and put it inside the mesh braid to keep it from collapsing. I think that is the easiest thing to do. I use a copper manifold, again more DIY work, but it works great.

New to all-grain. Is Blichmann best?

The immersion chiller is the easiest, least fussy way for a newbie IMO.

New to all-grain. Is Blichmann best?

The chiller shown here looks like 1/2" copper tubing, which is nicer than the 3/8" they are typically made of. I made my own with about 40 feet of 1/2". The copper was maybe $50 and you'd have twice the cooling but you'd have to make it yourself. There is no way I would pay $50 for that, offer...

    Label Peelers says longer!

I just logged into my account to look at the order status, and there was a long update message entered 11/22. Nothing new, same stuff we are already aware of, basically the same text I received in an email update a week or so ago. So while it is a generic "got less hops than we hoped for"...

Has anyone canceled their order because of the delay?

    Label Peelers says longer!

I ordered citra, amarillo, simcoe, and zythos on 10/15. Nothing yet.

Fill a tub and submerge the pressurized keg? Sounds like a very slow leak somewhere.
