Airgas here wanted $90 for a full 5lb bottle, that part is not that far off. Although you can buy an empty for much less and just have it filled. And most places here (Chicago) are now charging $20 for 5lb exchange. The place I go to also will refill a 10lb cylinder for $20, 20 lb for $25.

Starsan will keep for weeks if not months, as long as the pH is below ~3.0. Cloudiness is not the deciding factor. But if I am planning on keeping it a while, I would rinse anything of wort prior to sticking it back in the starsan.

Man, be careful with that precision hydro if it is the brewers best they sell. It is a great unit but very fragile. Suggestion - keep the padded tube it comes in and tape one of those ends on. I just dropped mine back into the tube and the bottom popped out today. Bye bye hydrometer.
