Dimpling tool for a 1/2” hole

I've used sanitary weld reducers to dimple my 1", 1.5" and 2" TC clamps, but it doesn't look like anything is available for the size you want.

    Soldering Stainless steel

Ok, here's my latest project... I've wanted to put a thermowell into a Corney keg to allow me to use my wireless temp controller to control the temps in my kegerator. So I picked up a couple of keg post adapters from Bobby. I had a spare liquid-out post and a 16" thermowell. I took the...

    DIY Stainless Steel Fermenters

Not exactly DIY, but I got two of these 15.5 Gal. Sanke Brite Tanks, and had Jaybird add a thermowell to the 4" TC lid. So far I've made 3 10gal brews, fermenting under pressure with a spunding valve, and the results have been GREAT!!:ban:

Many, many thanks for starting this thread. I have silver soldered more TC fittings on more kegs, kettles, and fermentors than I can remember. My most recent is a 30 Gal. bottom-drain mashtun: Keep up the good work.:rockin:

    Home security system

I know that the local PD hates them, they are tough enough to withstand most forced entry short of det cord around the frame.

    Home security system

I opted for Rolladen Rolling Shutters after my house was burglarized about 15 years ago. It wasn't cheap, but I feel it was the best option.

    TeensyNet Project Interest?

It's been more than a year and a half since anything has been posted to this page... I've suspended work on this project, but left the website up for reference. I'm still using the Teensynet for my own use, and since it ain't broken, I'm not trying to fix it. I'm still willing to help with...

    When to repassivate

You can use Starsan, which is mostly phosphoric acid, or Bar Keepers Friend, which is mainly oxalic acid. You'll need 1oz of Starsan per gallon of water, or a thinly applied paste of oxalic acid. Let it sit for an hour or more, and rinse. If you have etched volume marking on the kettle...

Brewometer kickstarter thoughts - digital bluetooth hydrometer

Turns out it was working just fine :D The instructions neglected to mention that you have to have a working Tilt nearby to complete the setup. I found this out when I emailed Tilt:

Brewometer kickstarter thoughts - digital bluetooth hydrometer

So, supposedly, there's now a RPi image for the tilt... I downloaded it, burned the image, fired up my RPi 3, and... NOTHING  I'm currently digging into the image (they've got it locked down pretty tight  ). More to come.

Blichmann QuickCarb (New from HomebrewCon 2016)

I know that a problem with the DIY versions is if the power supply is insufficient, the pump fails to prime and it appears to run at 1/2 speed, if at all. the pump I got requires 12v @ 70watts. I happened to have a 12v/20A supply, so I have used that with no problems.

Blichmann QuickCarb (New from HomebrewCon 2016)

Agreed, I'm working on an acrylic shield for it. It was one I had at hand. It's currently sitting up on silicone spacers that I made with some spare tubing. and the side facing the "T" is enclosed.
