Co2 lines through the side of a fridge.

Can you drill anywhere on the side of the fridge? I have a GE side by side and I'm not sure if I'd hit a fridge line. Thanks

    Adding flavorants

Thanks. I'vs just added 4oz of Blackberry to my 5 gallon batch of Golden Ale and will let it carbonated in my kegerator. I'll post the results in about 1 week when I take my 1st sample.

    Adding flavorants

Thanks, but I prefer to add a non sugar flavorant at the kegging stage.

    Adding flavorants

I'm going to try my 1st flavored beer and I'm looking at these flavorants from Alternative Beverage below- I'm making a Pale Ale and was wondering if someone that has flavored a Pale beer can give me a tip which flavorants might be better for the bitter styled beer like a pale...

Any rule of thumb for time between keg cleaning?

Ha Ha! I cleaned my house the only thing the GF cleaned was my bank account!

What psi do I need to force carbonate at?

Formula's are cool but here's what I do after siphoning the beer into the corny- Run your pressure to 30 psi over night and then the next morning drop the pressure down to 6-8 PSI for stouts, 8-10 for ales and 11-12 for lagers let that sit for 1-2 days and you're good to go. I've tried the...

Any rule of thumb for time between keg cleaning?

Damn, you sound like my ex-GF when it came to cleaning my house. As a bachelor with a bulldog as a roomate, I get to stretch out that cleaning thingy until the last possible moment.

Any rule of thumb for time between keg cleaning?

Thanks. The forums over at Micromatic (for commercial kegs) say that you should clean the lines after every 15 gal keg. So I guess after every three 5 gallon kegs would be about right.

Any rule of thumb for time between keg cleaning?

I've just gone thru my 3rd re-fill and the beer still tastes good and was curious what the recommended cleaning interval is. When I MT my keg I put about 2 gallons of hot tap water and close the top and swirl the keg for about 40-60 seconds to rinse out the old ale and then after draining I...

Awesome job TB! Does it hold good temps w/o insulating the 2 x 12's? How did you attach the 2 x 12's to the fridge? Pretty neat set-up you got there!

Thanks Demon. Not as much how much is in the keg but knowing how much I drank the night before. Hey, do I need to be a premium member for my pics to show up in my post?

    Oxygenating beer?

Between me and my friends, I go through about 5 gallons in about 3 weeks, so spoiling due to over oxygenating probably won't be an issue. I did notice that after I poured the first pint the beer was cloudy but tasted fine. The next day once it settled it looked normal.

    Oxygenating beer?

Yeah, I thought it might ruin it but it still tastes great. I'll do my next keg fill via the siphon method and not mess with the splashing and foaming. Thanks

    Oxygenating beer?

I took a quicker fix to get my brew in the corny keg, instead of a siphon I just poured it directly from my second stage into my keg. I let the beer settle overnight in the fridge before I ran pressure into the beer and it tasted fine. A friend told me I would oxygenate my beer via that...

More Corny keg ?'s from a newbie

Hey that reminds me of something else, after I run MT, can I just refill or do I need to clean the keg each time I fill up?

More Corny keg ?'s from a newbie

Just ordered my home brew fridge converter from KegConnection.com and Todd asked me if I wanted the food grade O-ring lube and I said OK. But my question is, does every one here lube their o-rings every time they pop the lines and tops off their kegs? BTW, I ordered this new Italian SS keg...
