I saw that email earlier today. Great deal on NZ hops. Not sure I have room in the freezer at the moment. 😵

I’m about 15* away from mashing in on a Kölsch at 5:15pm. . Taking the day off tomorrow so not too worried about how long it takes. 🍻

Tis a sad day to be sure. Ozzy has been a part of my musical journey from the beginning. 😢

I can’t remember if I’m 💯 up to date, but I brewed a San Diego ale last weekend featuring exorbitant amounts of Sabro, Amarillo and Citra. It came in at a perfectly sessionable 5.9%. Hopefully be drinking it in the next few days. 🍻 1861.25+5.5=1,866.75

Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden

A glass of my Belgian single. Been working 6 day weeks and my brains, body and soul are fried. I can still enjoy my home brews after work, though this is my last keg on tap. I have one in the FV that will hopefully be pouring by mid to late next week. Back to work tomorrow morning . 🍻

Using my one , full day off this weekend to smoke some ribs and brew a sessionable IPA. Back to work tomorrow. I have to be there by 5:30am and I’m not a morning person. 😂

I left my pot of starter wort in the sink, bathed in cool water to chill while we ate dinner. My lady told my son to rinse his plate. I came back to a pot sitting in a sink full of cloudy water and not sure if some may have seeped into my pot. Don’t do that. 😩

Thanks, everyone! I’m sure I’ve dropped the entire probe and cable assembly into the sink for cleaning. I also have a folding thermometer of the same brand. They seem pretty decent for the price. I’ll look into a waterproof probe.

Goodbye to romance- Ozzy

I had been trying this thermometer to monitor temperature in my mash but found it unreliable. I just tried using it in a pork roast, then tested with a newer thermometer and it was way off. Should I try to contact the manufacturer or did I F it up?

We’re at Fall Brewing, another local favorite. I got the Vienna lager “Devils symphony “ my lady got the “Cinco Flacos” agave cream ale. 🍻

I smoked some chicken breasts and legs last night. Delicious. I am reheating a couple of the breasts in the smoker now for dinner. Too hot to turn the oven on and I will not microwave. 🍻

Somehow, someway my Kentucky Common is still on tap. It is one of my top 5 favorite home brews to date. Happy 5th of July! 🍻

I appreciate the input. Some good ideas and combinations here. Always fun to see what other brewers are doing. Keep it rolling! As for what I generally like the grist to bring to a beer of this style ( I probably should have noted this in my original post), I'm sort of between old and new...
