I've been messing around with converted coolers and copper manifolds/pvc sparge arms and the like for about 18 months. Then I got a bag that fit my cooler and pulley system. Dirt cheap...less hassle and I'm even seeing improved efficiency with the bag. Im going to to try a batch sparge next brew...
