Will start with BIAB then continue to build system to full eHERMS... but.. the most realistic outcome will prob be realizing I can do good beer with BIAB .. and then never progressing on to a 3 vessel system.... Also, I did check out Hosehead.. but.. really dont want to wait until Fall.... =(

Hi all, Yeah.. like most of us here, I (we) over think the think, and do not over DO the DO... when in actuality, we should do the opposite.. and get things done, even if they are not perfect or we do not think of every single minute possibility. Maybe we should start a support group...

Just curious of your experience with this.. It would give me a way to brew while I save and design my controller. Also, in case of future issues.. a way to salvage the brew day. If this has been discussed and was not a good combination.. please let me know that as well. thanks everyone....

Would I have the same issue if I measured the space in place of the wort? meaning temp probe not in the thermowell... I like the idea of the fridge having power all the time so the lights light up, and the temp is shown.. yeah I know.. kind of immature.. but I like flashy things.. =)...

Resurrecting an old thread.. I am currently working on modifying mine... has anyone found a way to bypass the tramontina temp controller? and use a STC-1000??? Also looking to add heater, and a way to get temps up to 70-75....

In another thread, they talk about jumping the controller on a Haier Unit. I was thinking if these units have the same jumper, then why not run that to my STC-1000 and use the fridges thermometer and my controller to run the compressor.. Have not dug into it yet.. that was just my thinking...

Well, gravity on the porter has not moved, even with the Nottingham yeast addition, which I hydrated before adding. I did increase the temp to 70 to see if that would wake the yeast up, but doesn't seem to have done anything. Would adding some yeast nutrients this late in the game help? This...
