I didn't see 1554 in the Allen Park Meijer last week when I was there, but I have some friends from Colorado bringing me some tomorrow. EDIT: 1554 is now at Meijer. It's my favorite so far! Dark, roasty/smoky flavor but still not heavy tasting. This might be a regular around here.

Could it be ready in less than 6 months?

I live in the mitten, Michigan, the Winter Wonderland. My next batch will be brewed about Dec 1, which means it will be ready about mid-January. I am not sure what to brew next. What is best on a cold January night? Please share your favorites and I'll compile the list here. Thanks! :mug:

The more participation the better here. I have some science background and plan to plate these yeasts, then take isolated (pure) colonies and put them in slants. I am trying to make slants from new yeast but can make them from washings too. Slants take 5-7 days to make a starter from but...
