Looking for suggestions with wheat extract kit

Did you ever get any pics of this beer? How did it turn out? I am planning on doing something just like you did, but want to learn from what you have done so far.

    a Very confused brewer

Is this resipe like the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat? I have been searching for a good recipe to clone the Sam Adams version of it and I can't seem to find one. That beer is one of my favorite ones too.

Installing CO2 tank outside of Kegerator??

I would do that, but the hole isn't big enough for the tube to fit through. I am wondering though if it would be possible to run the line through the back of the tower at the base. It would really not be noticeable at all. What is your take on that?

Installing CO2 tank outside of Kegerator??

I just got another CO2 for a really good deal. It is a 20# tank and I have my Kegerator able to hold 3 five gallon kegs, but if I put this in there it won't work that way. The brand of kegerator is a Keggermeister. What I want to do is drill a hole thru the sidewall and use a bulkhead fitting to...

I need a new brew kettle....

Yeah good point. I am using a propane burner. I couldn't imagine doing that stuff on my stove, let alone I hear horror stories of people brewing on their flat top stove and they end up cracking from weight issues.

    First Keg up and running??

Thanks Hammy! I am going to try more priming sugar the next batch to see what happens. I wish I could brew a 10 gallon batch at a time and then do a test with it. 5 gallons with 1/2 priming sugar and the other 5 gallons with the full amount of priming sugar. I am curious to see what the...

I need a new brew kettle....

I am looking into getting a new brew kettle after many batches of battling the 20qt I got when I first started brewing. It's like I have "learned" to outgrow it. I try to get as much water in the pot to boil, but always end up with a near overflow. Control of the heat is very critical when it is...

    First Keg up and running??

I have just tapped my first Keg and I have some questions. I am doing natural carbonation and I do half of the recommended priming sugar as is called for. The keg sat for over 2 weeks to age. My liquid line is 7' long and the gas line is 3' long. I poured the first pint and it doesn't seem to...

Primed beer and forgot to take reading!!!

Thanks for the help! I appreciate it. I did end up kegging it and was hoping that this was the right way to go. It had been sitting at the 1.030 gravity for about 2-1/2 weeks. I basically followed the instructions on time frame to within a day or 2. After reading some of the reviews of that...

Primed beer and forgot to take reading!!!

I primed (for bottling) my beer (Guillermo's Imperial Pilsner) and forgot to take the reading prior to doing that. Don't ask....I got side tracked. Anyway I primed it and then took my reading and it ended up being slightly higher than what it should be for bottling. The instructions say that it...

    Kegging and then into bottles

Yeah I want to naturally carbonate my beer and then push it out thru a beer gun to get cleaner sediment free beer (I know that there will be some, but atleast it will do away with the majority of it). BTW...thanks for the input. It is making me think about some other things to try. As of...

    Kegging and then into bottles

I am pretty new to this kegging, but I have a few questions that I have been wondering about. I have 5 gallon kegs and want to naturally carbonate my beer in the kegs, but on the same note I would like to have a 12 pack or so of the beer that I just made for later dates. My thoughts are...

1 tap with 1 on stand by?

I have been wondering the same thing. I bought a keggermeister kegerator and it has a single tap on it. So, now I am wondering if I should add another tap on it as well. I am using priming sugar for now. I figure that if I place the other keg in beside the one tapped I can jump over to the other...
