    I dropped my hydrometer last night when I was about to take my gravity reading before pitching. i saved my sample that I had taken post boil. will my reading be accurate if I measure this afternoon?

    thanks for the advice everyone. I got a new regulator and that took care of it. The diaphragm was just stuck and wasnt letting the regulator hold pressure.

    The tank was just filled. The high side gauge reads about 750ish. I think the diaphragm was just stuck. I tapped it with a rubber mallet lightly and it works correctly but I still dont feel confident with the quality of the product at this point.

    It's inside. I had everything pre chilled before I transferred to the keg. even with the keg disconnected, both air valves closed and the pressure adjustment knob backed as far off as it will go, it creeps slowly past 20psi

    messed up grain calculation. how do I adjust to keep my target OG?

    Ok. so should I change my batch size to 6 gallons and just not worry about it? or still mash like I'm making a 5 gallon batch and check my OG then adjust as necessary after. I think I just answered my own question :) This is my first all grain batch so I'm not sure about my efficiency.
