    Yeah you can do that if you have a lot of gas to play with and want to see how it is. Jafo's right though, it should be around a gallon an hour. Not a huge deal though, you can add water or boil extra if you're far off.

    I read some stonefruit wine recipes that used boiled banana solution for sweetening and mouthfeel. I've tried to use it in my cider, not sure on how much it will help.

    It sounds like you might have missed your temperatures by a little and left some non fermentables to leave you at 1.022. Hit your 158 and hold it. Do you think you might have gone a bit high last time?

    The hops float mainly, at the end I take handfulls and squeeze them out through a strainer to get all the sweet sweet nectar off them ;)

    I just called that place, they said they have close to 1000 beers, so i think you're heading in the right direction ;) There's a old list here. If I were to recommend I'd say almost anything that says Stone, Lagunitas, Anderson valley, Russian River, Deschutes, Ninkazi, Sierra nevada...

    Assuming the pot is removable from the electric turkey fryer, yeah. As far as sitting over night it should be ok if you cover it. I'll see if I can dig up some discussions on it

    Lots of people use a wort chiller which can be expensive and some people just let it sit overnight.

    I've actually wondered about that myself. They should because I think they heat fry oil to 350ish for frying. So getting water to 212 should be easy.

    The alcohol should balance out the sweetness a bit if you can age it. You may be very happy with it. I had a pale ale go from 1.06 to 1.2ish and it was very good.

    60 quart stockpot Since you are a college kid you could watch for someone having a keg party. Telll them you'll give them the 30 dollar deposit and get the keg changed into a boil pot.
