Polboy, I like the cut of your jib. Now that I think about it, a Belgian Dark Strong would be nice in that barrel. I will definitely PM you when the time comes to consider the options.

I live near Midway. I just need to pick up some new equipment to make larger batches.

I like the sound of this. A long barrel aged sour.

TBU, that is what I was looking at, a basic Tripel in a barrel.

I am still interested in the barrel. I would like to do a Belgian Tripel, similar to an allagash curieux. I would offer it up for a group brew or try to manage brewing 50+ gallons 6 gallons at a time, it's doable, right...

Looking at picking up some Blichmann

Thanks for the response on the blocker. I don't have a Blichmann boilermaker pot. I was going to piece together a stock pot and parts from Bobby or Bargainfittings, one of which would be a dip tube of some sort. Most of those are threaded, which may make it a pain for cleaning. As for the legs...

Looking at picking up some Blichmann

Hopblocker sucks? I was thinking of picking it up. Does it do a poor job of blocking to hops and proteins? Would you like to sell the Blichmann legs?

I opened a split on Victory Malt if anyone is interested. The acidulated malt split is also still open if anyone is interested. Themats, I would drop my InstaGrain Yellow Corn 25# sack if you want to split a 50# Brewer's Grains flaked corn sack. Just remember, if we don't fill a split, it gets...

The one big difference is Brewer's Grains is a 50# bag and Briess Insta is only 25#. As far as difference in flavor, I can't attest, I have never used either. I am, however, purchasing a 25# sack of Briess InstaGrains Yellow Corn Flakes.

I re-added a split of that sweet sweet acidulated malt for anyone making wheats or lambics. What say yea!

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Secondary means to transfer the beer from your primary fermenter, carboy/bucket, into a second carboy/bucket off the yeast cake. Your keg can also be a secondary. Some people feel you don't need to secondary. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I like to cold crash my beers...

Could we ask a local brewery to save us some grain bags for us to use for packaging up the splits?

I removed it from my basket, could you remove it from everyone? I can start a fuggle.

I added the Styrian Golding split. It's a hop that is showing up as sold out, but I figured I can add it and see what happens. If we can't get it, which we may not, we could sub Fuggle: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Fuggle_hop_varieties
