I thought of this after the order went through. But for all of the individual 8# orders, we could have all pooled that money and gotten several 50# pails and split it up.

I was also kidding. I've participated on a few group buys through Bill using Ghoti's site and this one was smooth. However, I still wants some rice hulls... :-p

I am coveting some rice hulls from a non-payee. :-) The body isn't even cold and I am rifling through the remains.

I was going to pick up a feeler gauge to test my barley crusher with milling wheat. What do you currently have your set to? I have it set at the factory setting and never messed with it. I did, as a matter of chance, clean it out last night for the first time. I may have to do that more often as...

I have a compost ball I bought through Costco years ago, I keep throwing grain in there. Although, it's gotten quite full and may have to consider other options.

One more part of that Acidulated Malt split folks. Info on the malt: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/wiki/index.php/Acidulated_malt. I plan on using some in my wheat beers. Everyone loves a crisp summer wheat beer.

Honestly, I only use a small amount, 4 oz for a 5 gallon batch. Here is the link to a PDF from Briess describing the flavor profile. http://www.brewingwithbriess.com/Assets/PDFs/Briess_PISB_MidnightWheatMalt.pdf

Did you find anyone to split black malt? I just put up a 4 way split of Briess Black Wheat Malt. You can use this malt for color without the bitterness of a roasted malt. I've used it in the past to give my darker Belgians some color.
