    HERMS HEX coil

Hey Drake!... My coils actually touch.. I don't think there needs to be a significant gap if any at all... It's just extra surface area.. To give you an idea I only used 15ft and I get great results so I think youll be fine if they touch..

The "Strange" Brewery.. Another Build w/tons o' pics..

Sorry for the absence... First Brew went spectacularly well.. Nailed all the temps and held perfectly.. Efficiency was higher than I expected so I overshot OG a touch, but no worries.. Takes about an hour to get everything warmed up and ready to go but after that it is pretty much hands off...

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

I originally built the keggles thinking I was going to build a HERMS system, fired by natural gas.. Then I decided I wanted to be able to brew indoors on occasion (winter) and went all electric.. At that point it was pretty simple and cost effective to add a RIMS circuit, and I already had the...

No thanks.. I prefer to make my mistakes in private... Wrapped the Kegs with a 1" thick foam yoga mat from wally world, spray adhesive works well to hold it in place along with a couple loops of Aluminum tape. Covered the Yoga Mat with Reflectix from Lowes, again glued with spray adhesive...

WHOA>>>>!!!! Slow Down now.... I was spitting in the can... Dug it out of the garage trash, a neighbor brought it over to play darts... I could never defile the build with such an offense...

All Plumbing is fully insulated.. Actually a more tedious job than the plumbing itself.

Well primary contruction / wiring / and plumbing are complete.. Worked all weekend to get it done.. Started static water tests last night about 9:30.. A couple of small leaks as I expected.. Nothing major.. Didn't take the time to get any new pics because I was solely focused on reaching...

The "Strange" Brewery.. Another Build w/tons o' pics..

LOL... Yeah pretty sub-par I know.. I drew the wiring diagram in the truck on the way to the lake house while the wife was driving.. It started out as a rough sketch and I just never converted it to digital format.. I will convert it to digital and add all of my wire labels for future...

The wood back plane is temporary.. I didnt know how many times I would move components and wire routes and didnt want to drill tons of holes in my metal back panel.. When it is complete and the Functional tests are done, it will be a short exercise to remove the wood back plane and use it as a...
