    What are you drinking now?

This beer is a long way from home, but it makes a pretty good end of a long hot tropical a day beer here in Panamá.

What happened to The Great HBT Stogie Thread

I dont normally like panatella size smokes, but my local fabrica threw a few of these in as freebies...not bad...rich big smoke and taste to match in a micro size.

What happened to The Great HBT Stogie Thread

Well, not exactly a great sunset pic, but at least the rain cooled things down. Really ugly weather off E coast of Nicaragua right now and we are getting some affect from it here in Panamá.

Back in Liton, Panama to resume working on the f'ing boat. Plan to splash in January. At least I have some smokes. Good old standby Oro de Panama. Got here after sunset so it was a little to dark for a good pick...will try and get a good sunset one today.

Yes, Im an RP fan too. Recently finished my last Decade. [emoji46] Toured Placencia cigar factory in Estelí, Nicaragua a few years ago. They roll for RP and have a way cool blending room where some RP smokes have been formulated.

My braggot smells and tastes horrible!

My experiene with buckwheat honey was that it tastes awful post fermentation...sort of like what I imagine creosote would taste like.

My braggot smells and tastes horrible!

That was my first thought too...crazy number of ingredients. All my braggots have been very simple...and some were amazing (after a year or more of aging).

Sound like a great road trip. I grew up in the deep south and we've talked about doing a an I-10 corridor road trip...lots of great food, music, history...and these days beer!

What happened to The Great HBT Stogie Thread

Reluctantly left the jungle for the big city yesterday. Now in Guatemala City for a couple of day. Upside is I can get premium cigars here: RP Decade & a Negra Modelo to end the day.

    Cocoa Nibs...DIY!

Most folks on HBT are not in locations where they have access to cocoa pods, but thought some might find this interesting anyway. Ive lived in Guatemala for many years and cocoa is grown here. I have a couple of cocoa trees on my property just for grins, but Ive never tried processing the...

Patooey! I dont like flavored/infused, but its all about personal preference whether cigars, beer, etc. What I like doesnt matter.

RP Burn and crappy beer for sunset. Life in the jungle...you dont pack it in, you aint got it...only crappy beer is left, but at least Ive still got good cigars (well, and good rum too...so I should quit whinning). Friend is coming in on Saturday from the highlands...bringing good coffee and...

Another RP Burn for me tonight. Lighter than my normal preference, but a damn nice smoke.

Rio Dulce, Guatemala. Damn its good to be back home in the jungle again! 😎 Ran across this unexpected "Ego" in a local tienda that gets random smokes from Nica & Honduras. Tasty smoke. Given that its not Cuban I expect its less likely to be a fake. (Aargh...problem attaching pic)

What happened to The Great HBT Stogie Thread

Fakes are more common than the real deal in tourist areas in my experience.

What happened to The Great HBT Stogie Thread
