    i have a dream.......

cool. ive got a lot to think about then hah. as for a bitter belgian, i dont know if you've ever tried the d'chouffe tripel ipa but its a freakin masterpiece, and has a spectacular range from spicy to quazi bitter hop profiles, and thats something i kind of want to do, but at the same time...

so the last two beers ive made have had very light bodies and crappy head retention. anything short of adding heading powder during time of bottling, is there anything you can do to improve this?

    A little iodine gonna hurt?

damn right! thats exactly why i DONT have alcohol layin around. once i have a fifth of vodka just chillin its bound to be used for ONE airlock and the rest poured into a growler, sprinkled with lemon juice and strait up murdered by me while im trying to brew the next batch. oi. thanks for the...

    A little iodine gonna hurt?

ok so i made a hoegaarden clone and the brewday went off without a hitch, but then i did something stupid; i didnt have vodka to fill the airlock up with, so i filled it with water/iodine, and when i put the lid on the primary, some suckback made a little iodine fly into the yeast/wort. is this...

you know its a good batch when

it was awesome until i decided to throw champagne yeast in there. it was a little too sweet for my taste so i wanted it to become a tad more dry. no dice. its really dry with a light body. not good. boo. also i overcarbonated it. im a *******.
  17. T

possible doom. if not, thank you.

think i heard your story....oi......i dont think i bottled too early, it was chillin for a long time (about 2 months) in the carboy.
  18. T

possible doom. if not, thank you.

i over carbonated my beloved belgian beer. when you open the cap, it comes out like someone handed the bottle to michael j. fox for a half hour!!!!!!!!!! is there any way to tame the carb beast?
