yeah carapils is the way to go. just added a 1/4 pound to my last batch and it worked wonders. before that i was getting terrible head retention with different styles AND different sugar amounts. even over carbonated a batch (belgian trip) and its freakin scarry to open them, sounds like a gun...

thats a damn good point. would it be better if you just put a bunch of grapefruits in a blender and poured it into your carboy instead of putting halved/quartered fruits in?

ive always wondered if you are supposed to strain the hop remains when you pour your wort into the primary fermenter? does it mess everything up if you leave some hop residuals in the primary fermenter? thanks.

way damn heavy. its like 100 pounds. no joke. legs are plexy glass with bubble imperfections and unfortunately are not retractable. in that picture the leg LED's wernt working but they are now.
